INTERNSHIP SUMMARY 

 

This Marketing Insights Internship is a paid position ($16/hr.) that will requite you to work 15-20 hrs. per week, begining no later than March 1st, primarily out of our Home Office in San Mateo, CA. This role will give you experience in real-world projects and the opportunity to create a tangible work product that will help advance your career, hopefully as a future analyst, while working alongside top professionals in design, branding and marketing. 

 

 

ABOUT YOU

 

Do you love using data to tell a story? Do you enjoy reading and mining meaningful insights from secondary research? Would you like to be the first person at our company to create a framework that will help that will help teams make better decisions and identify strategic opportunities for the future? If all this sounds good so far, we’d like to meet you! Prometheus Real Estate Group designs and builds apartment communities – or what we call “Neighborhoods” – all throughout the Bay Area, Portland and Seattle Area and we are searching for an intern to help us in a market research analyst capacity to help us better understand what the data are telling us about our Neighbor experience.

 

WHAT YOU'LL DO

 

  • Compile, synthesize and analyze research collected from secondary sources over the last 2 years.
  • Analyze and interpret survey results from recently conducted primary research.
  • Collaborate with teams in brand strategy, design, marketing, development, operations and business intelligence to bring forth cohesive insights and well-defined recommendations.
  • Prepare reports and presentations that will help tell the story for our teams, including analysis, data entry and chart/table creation in Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Support teams on a wide variety of research projects. Contribute ideas to new research to be conducted this spring.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

 

  • Current student or graduate in business, marketing or market research.
  • Must have excellent analytical, writing and communication skills with ability to leverage insights to tell a compelling story.
  • Creative and analytical writing style.
  • Availability to complete synthesis of secondary research in 4-6 weeks. Estimated time needed: 10-20 hours per week.
  • Flexible to work around academic schedule and/or personal obligations.
  • Proficient in Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Transportation access to San Mateo office.
  • Entrepreneurial and optimistic; able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Tenacity and attention to detail.
  • Organized; able to prioritize, multi-task and take initiative to meet deadlines.
