Your Role and Impact


At Prometheus, our commercial real estate portfolio contains about 1.2 million square feet of Class A office and retail space. Our Commercial Real Estate team is focused on providing a quality business environment for tenants and consistently delivering the commercial equivalent of the "I Am Home" experience to life. Our Commercial Real Estate team is searching for an Assistant Commercial Building Manager to help deliver this experience by supporting the management and administration of our commercial properties. 


Your Primary Responsibilities Include:


  • Financial Administration – Whether it is managing bids and contracts, preparing budgets, reviewing ledgers, processing move-ins or move-outs, collecting rent payments, or tracking invoices, you are on top if it all. You make every detail count and count every detail.
  • Customer Service – You are a problem solver that makes renting easy for our customers. When commercial tenants, vendors, or brokers have questions on things like new lease agreements or construction projects, you help them find the answers. When the office gets busy, you are the first one to jump in and answer the phones or take a prospective tenant on a tour.
  • Team Support – Whether it's directing the building engineers and porters on key daily tasks or coordinating a life-safety training with tenants, you have a “people first” mindset and are passionate about helping our Prometheans and commercial tenants in whatever way you can. When all of your normally schedule work is done, you find yourself asking "what else can I do to help?"

  • Your Experience - Property management experience in retail, Class-A office, or mixed-use commercial space is nothing new to you. You have familiarity with commercial real estate systems (i.e. vertical conveyance, access control, HVAC, building management systems) and a knowledge of accounting principles like accruals, general ledgers, and invoice processing.

Required Qualifications, Skills, And Experience

Our new Assistant Commercial Building Manager  must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Basic knowledge of eviction law and other legal issues affecting property management, and experience in a customer service role
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret commercial lease terms, general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Must possess basic computational skills; add, subtract, divide, and multiply. Must have the ability to compute rate, discounts, interest, and commissions. Must be able to prepare and analyze data figures and transcriptions generated by a computer

  • Computer proficient in Windows, MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, OneSite and the Internet. Required to maintain a high level of computer and digital electronic skills and be able to operate building systems
  • Must be able to prepare written reports, complete log sheets, and read, interpret and work from plans, drawings and specifications with ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
  • Ability to speak, communicate, read, write and understand the primary languages used in the workplace including, but not limited to, English in order to maintain safety in the workplace and serve internal and external customers.
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel, to reach with arms, and to talk or hear. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally. Requires standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity. 
  • Ability to work primarily with fingers to pick, pinch, type and carry out substantial movements (motions) of the wrists and hands as well.
  • Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with tenants, supervisors and subordinates.
